Cyanocobalamin 1,000 mcg intramuscular injection.
What It Is
Vitamin B12 is essential for red blood cell formation, nerve function, and DNA synthesis. A B12 injection delivers 1,000 mcg of cyanocobalamin into the muscle, which is the standard route when levels are low or when B12 is poorly absorbed from food — as happens with pernicious anaemia, after certain gastrointestinal surgery, and with some long-term medications.
What to Expect
The injection takes moments and is given into the upper arm or hip. There is no downtime. Where a deficiency is being corrected, injections are usually given on a defined schedule rather than as a one-off, and we will set that out with you.
Is It Right for You?
Low B12 is best confirmed with a blood test, and symptoms such as fatigue and tingling have many possible causes. We will check your levels and history rather than treating on assumption.
